Centurion House, Monument Street, London - Column Casing
Centurion House, located on Monument Street in London, is an impressive building that houses a variety of businesses.
Recently, David Walker Architects were commissioned to design and install column casings throughout the building. The chosen material for the column casings was stainless steel 316 grade, which was polished to a high shine of 320 grit.
Stainless steel is an excellent material choice for column casings due to its durability and resistance to corrosion. This is especially important in a busy commercial building like Centurion House, which sees a lot of foot traffic and wear and tear on a daily basis. The use of 316 grade stainless steel ensures that the column casings will maintain their polished finish and structural integrity for many years to come.
David Walker Architects' choice to polish the stainless steel to a 320 grit finish adds an extra layer of sophistication and elegance to the building's interior. The reflective surface of the polished stainless steel adds depth and dimension to the space, making it feel more open and inviting. Overall, the column casings at Centurion House are a beautiful and functional addition to the building's design.
