Minories, London
The Minories in London is a building that has been designed by architects and clients to have a 50% open area across its façade. To achieve this requirement, Eltherington manufactured perforated aluminium.
This product has several benefits that provide protection from the sun, reduce solar gain and allow high levels of natural daylight inside the building.
One of the main solutions provided by Eltherington is solar shading. This feature helps prevent solar gain, which minimises the need for high-energy mechanical cooling systems within the building. Additionally, manufacturing the perforated façade with a 50% open area ensured that the inside of the building still benefitted from high levels of natural daylight.
Another benefit of using perforated aluminium is that it is a low maintenance solution that requires minimal ongoing maintenance. To achieve a sleek and modern look, Eltherington used Syntha Pulvin PPC in Ral 7021 matt and Ral 7042 matt done by approved SP powder coater applicator. This product is also suitable for use in curtain wall cladding systems, as it works excellently with the curtain walling system.
In conclusion, Eltherington's perforated aluminium is an excellent choice for architects and clients who want to achieve a modern and sleek design while also providing protection from the sun and reducing solar gain. Its low maintenance requirements and ability to allow high levels of natural daylight make it an efficient and effective solution for any building.
