In the wake of changes to building regulation to ban combustible materials from use in the exterior walls of all high-rise residential buildings, as well as in hospitals, residential care premises and student accommodation over 18 meters, the government have identified a total of 433 high-rise residential and other buildings with unsafe ACM (aluminium composite material). With the support of industry experts, local authorities and fire rescue services, the government have acted urgently to address the serious fire and public safety risks exposed by recent tragedies. £400 million has been made available to pay for the remediation of ACM cladding and remediation has started or been completed in 87% of social sector buildings, with plans and commitments in place to re-mediate all remaining buildings. A second fund estimated at £200 million, will cover the full cost of re-mediating the unsafe ACM cladding systems in privately owned high-rise residential buildings.
Rainscreen Cladding - tried & tested!
As a cladding systems manufacturer with over 50 years of experience in this market sector, we are continually investing in the development and testing of systems that meet and exceed the strict guidelines set out by building regulations and CWCT (Centre for Window and Cladding Technology)
Within our rainscreen range we offer many CWCT tested solutions that do not contain any combustible components what so ever. Solid aluminium panels without the composite layer we see in all ACM’s and without the need for extra bonded strengthening stiffeners.
Our TFS1 through fix and plank systems use only solid aluminium in both the panel and Hilti Eurofox subframe. Available in either A2 rated PPC finish or A1 rated pre-paint or anodized finishes. We have an unrivaled choice of finishes and panel designs as shown below and on our download page –https://eltheringtonarchitectural.co.uk/downloads
